The KJVC Forum Board

(Formerly known as KJVC discussion board)

Welcome to the main page of the KJVC forum board! This blog displays the latest news, updates and any changes that occur from the forum. Any news from the forums may be showed in this blog. This includes the newest member list, ranking system to the members, the most famous member, most famous board, famous photos and media from the forum and the recorded statistics. Stay updated as the forum changes and turn its new leaf every time.

The Forums

There are currently two forums in the internet now, the main, less formal forum is the forum from aceboard.com and the formal and good management forum is from the editboard.com. Although the forums comes from different servers but the names are actually same, namely the kjvcforum . Why two? It is because of different needs from the members but the forums are actually the same, the only differences are the forum from the editboard.com has added educational boards.

Registration of the two forums

To become a kjvc community member, you must first choose one from the two servers (You can enter both). The main forum from the aceboard server needs only your name and your e-mail but the editboard server needs registration from your mail account since the editboard server’s forum is a formal type.

KJVC forum board Rules and Regulations:

The laws and regulations is connected to all available forum and blogs. Please read carefully to prevent account suspension or deletion.

All visitors can view the forum, however only registered users are allowed to post messages. Your registration will be processed within 24 hours.

The real-time nature of this forum makes it impossible for us to review all messages or confirm the validity of information posted. We are not responsible for any messages posted, the messages express the views of the author of the messages only. We will remove objectionable messages, if we determine that removal is necessary.

The guidelines below are designed to clarify various responsibilities of community members (users) here at http://kjvcforum.editboard.com/faq.htm. Please read and become familiar with them.

Board-wide Rules and Regulations

A) Registration is required in order to post on this board.

B) Posts are to be made in a relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning.

C) Users should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.

D) Users are asked to not act as "back seat moderators". If members note an issue which contravenes something in these guidelines they are welcome to bring it to the attention of a Moderator. Only do this if a moderator has not replied to the post within 6 hours. Users who consistently "act" as moderators may be warned.

E) Users should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.

F) Users are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or asking for information on such material without permission will receive a warning and their post will be removed.

G) Users should respect the bandwidth of other users and sites. The use of inline image tags pointing to data stored on third party systems for which the user has not received permission to link to may be removed.

H) Users should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or colored text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned.

I) Users should use an appropriate, specific, descriptive title when posting a new topic. Examples of good titles include; "How do I start a batch culture", "I�m having problems with my gram stains", etc. Examples of bad titles include; "Help me!", "My bug!", "I've got a question!", etc.

J) Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance. This includes offering company services, equipment and supplies, soliciting employment, offering employment opportunities, chain letters, etc. Users posting spam will be warned and their post removed.

K) The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users.

Signatures

I) Signatures may contain up to five lines (one line being that displayed on a browser opened to 800 pixels width) of text (of small or normal size) and/or one image. Image size should be no larger than 234 pixels wide, 60 pixels high and 5kb in size.

II) Letter sizes should be between 9 and 12 points (small and normal). Text in signatures is subject to the same conditions as posts with respect to decency, copyrights, emoticons, etc.

III) Links are permitted in signatures. Such links may be made to personal web sites, commercial ventures, etc. Links are included within the text and image limits above. Links to offensive sites may be subject to removal.

IV) Users abusing these rules will be warned.

Warnings and Bans

1) Users will be warned at least once for a particular offence before being banned.

2) The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to temporary or permanently ban an offending user at any time.

3) Users who feel they have been unfairly warned or banned are welcome to contact the Moderator team leader. If the Moderator team leader feel you were treated badly they will remove a warning or ban. If you feel the Moderator team leader is also unfair you may contact a Moderator group member. However, a decision at this level is final. Contacting Moderator group members over warning matters should be done so as a very last resort ... group members do not want to be bothered unless vital.

4) Any attempt to circumvent a temporary ban will lead to that ban being made permanent. Circumvention includes re-registering under a non-banned username, changing IP addresses to evade an IP ban, registering a new email account to evade an email ban.

5) Permanent bans are a last resort and thought is given before implementing them.

Q: Why this forum is created?
A: It is created with the needed from members who want to share their ideas with others.

Q: Who are the administrators?
A: The administrators are actually comes from the “KJVC”. It stands for Kendrick, Keikoku, Jerry, Venetia, Charles and Cassil, the names of the forum’s creators.

Q: How do I join the ranking system?
A: Actually, once you have become the member of the forum, you are automatically activated your ranking system.

Q: What is an Avatar?
A: An avatar is a gallery that lets you personalized yourself with pictures so that other members can know you.

Q: How do I rank myself up?
A: Post as much post you can and be famous a people voted you.

Q: Can I be moderators of the forum?
A: Yes, you can. To be a moderator, you must first post at least 20 above posts and you must be famous in the forum.

Q: If I’ve broken the laws, will my a/c be suspended or deleted?
A: Yes, depends on the admin to suspend or delete your account.

Q: Can I be an administrator?
A: It depends on the popularity of the member in the forum and already a moderator before.

Q: If there’s a problem in the forum, how do I ask the admin?
A: There are two ways, the first is to wait when the admin is online or post your problems in the feedback board.

Q: Can I use strange names as my username?
A: Yes, you can unless it is free from pornography means.

Q: Can I change my username?
A: Yes, you can but subject to Admin confirmation.

Q: Can I change my e-mail address and password?
A: Yes, you can
